As a visual artist, I mostly like to work with pencil and I have done this ever since I was a young child. However, in the pas year I’ve begun experimenting with watercolour paints and I really love it. I’ve always been a fan of Disney films and spent a lot of time drawing my favourite Disney characters. Eventually, I created my own characters. I was inspired by the exaggerated cartoonish features, for example their unusually large eyes. I also loved how their shapes can be simple but the character will still convey a lot of emotions. Another thing I enjoy drawing are landscapes and objects/monuments from real life. There is no deep meaning behind my artwork, I just do it for fun. I like experimenting with colours when I do more realistic drawings such as what the background would be for a certain object. For this project, I decided to use a combination of drawing as well as watercolours to express who I am and to share my identity with people.
